Whenever I am out for lunch or at weddings, I always start with soup first. I love how simple it can be to get the benefits of many vegetables in the form of liquid. Soups can satisfy that small hunger as well. I always have that hunger raising in between breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner. I can satisfy my hunger with the soup and also give in some nutrients that my body would need to work smoothly.

There are plenty variety of soup recipes available and new discoveries or inventions of recipes are also happening. At our home it usually me and my mom who loves to have soup. We used to make tomato and veg sweet corn soup. But as I discovered this drumstick tomato soup recipe, I would not prepare any other soup.

Whenever we stocked on drumstick, it became a ritual to make the soup. The aroma that fills in all over the home as the lid of the cooker opens, is just awesome and wow. Suddenly I lose patience and start nagging my mom to prepare soup as fast as possible. I want the soup straight away. I know even reading this, it is mouth-watering. Drumstick Tomato Soup – Mixture Of Taste & Health

Ingredients:

Drumstick 1 medium sized

Tomato 4

Bottle gourd, in small pieces 1/4 cup

Beans, in small pieces 4

Coriander leaves

Jeera 1tsp

Sweet corn 1/4 cup

Black salt 1/2tsp

Salt as per taste

Black Pepper Powder

Water

Method:

Take a pressure cooker and add in drumstick, tomato, bottle gourd, beans, coriander leaves and jeera. Also add in water reaching just above these vegetables. Take 6-8 whistles so that they become completely mushy.

 

Now using a blender, blend all the vegetables until they are completely blended.

Take another container and strain this liquid using the strainer. Add some water to get the right consistency of the soup in case needed.

Now add salt, black pepper powder and sweet corn in it. Let it boil for 10 minutes on low flame after a single boil. Serve hot.

You can customize this soup by adding in vegetables of your choice like carrots and onion.

Instructions

  1. Method:
